There have been some good suggestions on here. And if its a TT auto, I know the stud is on the bottom. I removed dropped 2 TT trannys in the past 2 weeks, and it's indeed on the bottom. If this was reversed, maybe this was part of the reason it snapped. (Who knows..) Either way, get some PB and a reverse drill bit, and heat that sucker up! The stud will probably come out really easy. As far as bolt extractors, I've never had success with them. Not to say they don't work, but a drill bit has been more beneficial to me.
